Fable 3 - 'We need guns, lots of guns' Achievement guide

We need guns, lots of guns achievement – 20G.

http://ramblingfoxreviews.blogspot.co.uk/

This is possibly the most irritating fable 3 achievement that you’ll come across. You need to collect all 50 legendary weapons and not all of them will be found in your own game, no matter how many times you restart it. To trigger different weapons to appear you need different profiles that are also offline. If one profile is online it doesn’t matter so don’t worry about that. I’ve listed below a breakdown of all weapons, where they are found and how you can get this achievement solo like I did.

List of all legendary weapons and locations.

Common weapons:

12 of the available 24 common weapons can be found in weapons shops. Each weapon shop holds 4 weapons, and sometimes they may repeat. Very rarely a weapon shop may have a bug where it holds a weapon that is something other than common.

Brightwall village
Aurora
Bowerstone Market

Swords:

The Casanova
The Love Sword
The Merchant’s Body-guard
Mr Stabby
Slimquick
The Splade

Ossuary - Golden door
Aurorean mine – After completing the Temple Goddess Puzzle.

Swords:

Avo’s Lamentation

Hammers:

Jack’s Hammer
The Tenderiser (special exception)
Rifles:

The Equaliser
The Shrieking Pilgrim
Skorm’s Justice

Pistols:

Bloodcraver
The Gnomewrecker (special exception)

Special exceptions:

Gnomewrecker – Always gained after finding all 50 gnomes.
Tenderiser - Always gained after completing the Dark Sanctum questline.

Relic weapons:

2 of the available 4 relic weapons can be found in the following locations within each seperate account's playthrough.

Bowerstone Castle 50 silver keys chest
Sanctuary chest and ‘gold key’ puzzle (almost always chickenbane.)

Relic weapons:

Chickenbane (pistol)
Dragonstomper.48 (pistol)
The Swinging Sword (sword)
The Sandgoose (rifle)

How to solo the achievement:

Step 1:

Complete the game with one main account, collecting all the gnomes, all 50 silver keys and all gold keys. Betray Aurora to open the mine and completing the puzzle there. Also complete the Dark Sanctum questline and grab every legendary weapon available on that account. We will call this main account: Main.

Step 2:

If you haven’t already got an account like this then also create a new Xbox offline profile and have it join Main’s game. We’ll call this account Princess (ensure it is opposite sex to current character). Whenever Main gets guild seals have Princess join the game in local co-op so she can also collect guild seals. When Main unlocks chests on road to rule you can also have Princess join him there, make sure she opens the chests for property purchasing and romance expressions. I also recommend you have Princess open combat chests so she can tackle enemies easily through her own playthrough. Have Main and Princess marry so they can open the Mistpeak valley demon door easily by kissing, this should also give Princess a lot of money by being a business partner. If she hasn’t got money, give her some when you’ve enough to spare i.e.: at the end of Main’s playthrough. Whenever you come across a gold key, have Princess join to grab it also.

Step 3:

If Main has already completed a playthrough then go to all gold key locations and have Princess join the game and pick them up, they’ll appear for her and her only. If you want, create multiple offline accounts now and have them all sign in, one by one, to grab keys. It’s likely you’ll need more than two playthroughs and two legendary weapons are behind golden doors.

Step 4:

Finally, it’s time for Princess to play her game. Start the game but on Princess’ account this time and have her go down to the courtyard. Have Main join the game before meeting Elliot and meander on over to the chest that requires 50 silver keys and have Main open it. If it’s a Relic weapon you need then give it to Main, if it’s not, repeat this step with different profiles until you get all 4 Relic weapons, having Main open each chest.

Step 5:

You should now have all 4 relic weapons, gifted over to Main. Get rid of him for now and play through with Princess. Once you get to Brightwall village, have Princess purchase the weapon shop property prior to entering the Academy. This is the only way you can get in here without continuing the game, buy any weapons that are in there that Main doesn’t have and gift them over. Have princess continue story line as normal, have Main open any silver chests that he comes across and don’t bother with side quests.

When you go back to Mourningwood fort to try and get over 2000 points on it make sure you’re in single player mode otherwise you will not unlock the legendary weapon. You’ll want to hit all locations where silver chests and demon doors are as normal whilst working through the main storyline to unlock Aurora along with its mine and weapons shop. By the time Princess finishes the main questline, you’ll have the queen and king’s outfit to also help you with the achievement: 'Fashion Victim'.

Step 6:

If after two playthroughs you still don’t have all weapons then just create a new offline profile and repeat the process. Ensure all new characters are on different offline Xbox profiles and that they just go through the main storyline and quests required to get to particular areas. Make sure they get the gold keys by joining Main’s game when he’s at the gold key locations. Make sure you check out the lists above to see which locations you need to keep checking as, for example, if you’ve grabbed all uncommon weapons then there’s no point doing the Summerset mansion quest and gold door and you’ll just be wasting time.
